November Group Supervision 2021
Our 3rd Thursday group is meeting November 18th at 6am (round of applause to the early risers!)
Our 2nd Friday group is meeting November 12th at 9:30am (this may be moved…I’ll let ya’ll know)
We live in a world where multi-tasking (that thing that doesn’t actually exist), waking early and working tirelessly is rewarded. AND it’s not rewarded by granting time for rest, but rather it is rewarded by granting you more tasks and more responsibilities. Sound familiar?
What I hope for each of you, is that you develop a strong understanding of how unrealistic and let’s be honest, shitty this approach is. My hope is that you feel validated and encouraged by the time you take for yourself, vs. how many pies you’re juggling.
SO, with winter coming, the grass beginning to dormant, the trees breathing into hibernation, and the ground cooling…it is time to talk about REST.
As we come together this month, I want you to reflect on some of the following ideas and bring your thoughts with you to the group:
What beliefs, thoughts, mindsets keep you from resting?
Not resting - who does it hurt? who does it benefit?
At what times in your work do you need rest the most?
What REALLY happens when we don’t rest? To ourselves, to our body, mind, spirit? To our family? To those we are attempting to serve?
