My aim is to radically reimagine (with you!) the opportunity of how we can engage in therapeutic practice that allows us to deeply support our community while also deeply caring for ourself. We’ll look towards leveraging your most natural and authentic self, the landscape around you, nurturing your unique gift of giving, and releasing the “burned out clinician” model that impedes the ability build sustainable healthful and healing practices. We will work to hone your skills and knowledge so you can build on a movement that proactively and passionately empowers individuals and community, honoring the complexity of life, culture, ancestry, and what is most important to those you work with. I ask each person I work with to specialize in at least 1-2 specific therapeutic modalities, and we will weave that work into our sessions.
Additionally, we use Trauma-informed, Humanistic, Strengths-Based and Anti-Oppressive and Anti-Racism frameworks while studying a variety of approaches that you feel drawn to. While we focus our time orienting to approaches that are most aligned for you, it’s best you also understand the lens of your supervisor and the approaches they align with - so you can decide fit. My clinical lens stems from an integration of Ecotherapy, Landscape Integration, Neurobiology, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Nutrition & Integrative Medicine in Mental Health, Meditation, Imagery and Mindfulness Practices. We will routinely review ethics, DSM-5, licensure regulations and more.
If you are already clinically licensed, I continue to provide individual clinical consultation for social workers, professional counselors, and marriage and family therapists on an individual basis.
