Helping Children with Loss Session 1

  • JustLiving Therapy Yakima, WA, 98948 (map)

This program for adults will teach you how you can communicate with children about the losses they experience and those they yet might face.

Whether you are a parent, a teacher or otherwise caring for children, you will know the feeling when questions are asked about sad and painful feelings.  Often, we are left struggling for the right words, and not surprising because we ourselves may struggle with how to walk through our own grief.

Whether children have experienced loss of a loved one, or other significant emotional losses such as divorce, house moves, changing schools, adoption/foster care, bullying, or maybe just witnessing the ongoing challenges of the COVID pandemic – this workshop will give you the tools on how to best support children through these hard conversations.

This workshop is ideal for parents, grandparents, and caregivers. Also beneficial to social workers, teachers, youth workers and health care workers.
